A Caverna Xibalba, localizada a 640 km do Vulcão Masaya, é uma caverna citada na Bíblia Maia e é um lugar real e já explorado.Dentro dela, há lugares perigosos com água, estalactites, morcegos, lugares estreitos etc.Os maias acreditavam que esse lugar era a travessia que o homem percorria até o inferno.

A Caverna Hade, localizada no sul da Grécia, ficou conhecida como um portal para o inferno, pois segundo a lenda, Hércules achou uma passagem em seus paredões que dava diretamente ao próprio inferno.

O Purgatório de São Patrício, é uma caverna localizada em uma pequena ilha na Islândia, que segunda a lenda, Deus criou essa caverna (que chegava até o inferno) para mostrar aos pagãos onde eles iriam parar se não se convertecem.A entrada dessa caverna foi destruida pelo tempo e pelas ações da natureza.

Bom, os supostos portais encontrados nos vulcões não são nada mais nada a menos do que fenômenos naturais (não posso deixar de notar que são fenômenos interessantes) e os outros 3 portais são lendas de religiões diferentes, além do mais são três infernos diferentes sendo que um não chega a ser um inferno "do mau".Bom, por isso, fica meio dificil de acreditar.
