Yuki-Onna é um tipo de yokai (algo como um demônio ou monstro) do folclore japonês.Esse tipo de demônio aparece como uma alta mulher, com cabelos lisos e pretos e com a boca de cor vermelha.Sua pele é tão transparente que se confunde com a neve (local onde são vistas).Normalmente vestem um kimono branco e flutuam sobre a neve.
Diz a lenda, que elas seduzem os homens cantando uma linda música, fazendo-os se perderem nas nevascas e morrerem congelados.Muitas vezes se apaixonam por homens com o qual se casam e têm filhos.Mas essas histórias de amor sempre terminam com o desaparecimento dos seus maridos em uma forte nevasca.
Esse tipo de yokai é muito comum em animes, mangás e até em filmes.
